Stunning one-of-a-kind tiara, sustainably made with locally found Scottish Sea Glass, wired together on a hand formed tiara frame.
The glass fragments vary in size, shape and shade of green. I love walking on the beaches near where I live in South Ayrshire, and always find myself drawn to looking for treasure amongst the sand and pebbles. In this case it is the beautifully smoothed and weathered pieces of glass, which have been slowly shaped and moulded by the waves into asymmetric colourful crystals.
I have created a collection of tiaras and hair combs made using this sea glass, each fragment has been carefully wrapped with wire and attached to a hand formed frame. The flexible band is wrapped in ribbon, with loops at the end for securing in the hair.
The glass section measures 4.5cm high at the centre and is 30cm long, the total length of the band is 45cm end to end.
All my pieces are totally unique and hand made by myself to my own designs. I use vintage and recycled materials as much as possible. If you would like something similar, but in a different colour or size, please get in touch.
It will be carefully packed in tissue paper in a branded presentation box. F
or shipping I re-use bubble wrap and packaging, and all my new tissue paper and boxes are made from recycled materials.
